Obtained patient history and perform physical assessment of patients in hospital setting, then effectively communicated findings through clear and accurate documentation.

Performed hemodialysis in hospital setting. Used clinical judgment to determine appropriate settings and ultra filtration goals for hospital dialysis patients.

JACKSON-MADISON COUNTY GENERAL HOSPITAL

Provided nursing care for critically ill patients with a variety of intensive care needs, primarily cardiac. Examples include, post myocardial infarction, post coronary intervention, respiratory failure, sepsis, etc.

Management of ventilators and balloon pumps, monitored telemetry and interpreted EKGs. Performed cardiac measurements using Swan-Ganz catheters. Removed femoral arterial lines post PCI.

Served as Charge Nurse.


CARDIOTHORACIC STEP-DOWN JUNE 1998 - OCT. 1999

Cared for patients following CABG, thoracotomy, myocardial infarction, heart catheterization, and coronary intervention.

Performed sterile dressing changes, chest tube management, and removal of femoral arterial lines post PCI.

Served as Charge Nurse.
